Okay Ezra, forget the romcoms. How about zombies? That more suitable for Valentine’s Day?

How awesome was the Season 4 Midseason premiere? Answer – so awesome. Michonne is so kick*ss. Watched the Talking Dead show afterwards and they did a poll, who would be most likely to survive in a zombie apocalypse, or something to that effect, the choices were: Rick, Carl or Michonne – Michonne got like 93% of the vote.

I’ve hated Carl from the start. It was a good episode, but it had far too much Carl in it. Hopefully he’ll get eaten soon.

Hahaha. C’mon, give poor Carl a break. He’s the next John Connor.

Which Walking Dead Character Are You?

    Apparently I’m a Natural Born Leader . . .

    Which Walking Dead Character?

I got Maggie, which I suppose is okay. Rick is another character I strongly dislike.

You dislike Rick? Seriously? But he’s such a romantic guy . . .

Haha, that is a terrible movie. I rest my case, Sir.

The recent episode of WD shows some correlation between the series and the comic, as it has in other episodes, it is just much less dark and violent than the comic, and runs in a different sequence (time line.) Also in the interaction and relationships of characters, as well as their deaths. Some are the same, as with Maggie and Glenn, others not SPOILER ALERT! Andrea and Dale were an actual couple in the comic.
STILL SPOILING! The actions of Lizzie and the rabbits, as well as her ‘quieting’ baby Judith, in the most recent episode, puts me in mind of the twins in the comic.
And they have just introduced Abraham into the story, also a character (as with most, save the Dixons) from the comic. Whether he will be a ‘good guy’ as he was in the comic, or if they will alter his personality, remains to be seen.

I’d like to also comment on the characters. I try to place myself ‘in their shoes’. Reflect on how I would react if I were in the same position. I sympathize with Rick. Both in the tv series and the comic he states several times he did not want to be leader. He was rather forced into the position, probably due to the fact he was a police officer. Under a HUGE amount of pressure, he is making decisions that, at those times, he feels is best for the entire group.
Carl, well any child that has to grow up almost immediately, misses having a childhood, has to grit himself to death and insecurity, it has to be uberstressful.
And so, yes, maybe he isn’t the greatest child actor, but he does seem to be going through that awkward tweenage. Who knows, maybe he is uncomfortable showing emotion, even when acting.
And let’s not forget, he was pretty much ignored by his parents in previous seasons ‘where’s carl’? ‘Carl? Who’s he?’ ‘Oh yes, my son!’
