Woohoo! Ripper Street starts their third season this Wednesday on BBC America. To mark the occasion, some approatiate um, euphemisms specific to the Victorian/Edwardian time period . . .
. . . and the first person to call me a windy wallets will feel the business end of my Victorian era, brass capped, hickory walking stick.
I was excited at first then remembered I’ve seen season 3 already. Bummer . . . I guess I’ll need to continue my vigil on the Amazon sites.
I used these to insult my flatmate. Unfortunately he thought I was speaking German. Hm, how effective is an insult if the person on the receiving end does not realize they are being insulted?
Having been insulted in many languages during the course of my travels, I feel it’s safe to say an insult is still effective regardless of comprehension on the part of the insultee, as long as you use the appropriate tone and/or facial expression (disdain or disgust seem to work best). Having appreciative bystanders close to hand ready to point and laugh also helps . . .
… Do you want to talk about it?
My therapist assures me I’m doing much better these days . . .
How much extra did you have to pay for that diagnosis?
DVR set… I look forward to viewing this in the near future.
