Loving this show . . .
So the teenage boy that lurks in my brain… yes, ok he is pretty much the totality of my brain… has commanded me to share the Netflix reboot of Voltron. I’m not a big fan of rebooting for reboot’s sake (looking at you, pretty much all of Hollywood) but this show is super fun. The graphics and ship designs spectacular and the plot is very…[Read more]
Okay, I’ll check it out, if you promise to check out Dudes and Dragons . . . and yes, yes it is as silly as it seems in the following trailer. My suggestion is to drink a couple of adult beverages before viewing, then it’s hilarious . . .
I watched it and there were some very amusing parts; Spike from Buffy was really good as the big bad.
I do have one observation that has sprung to mind now and then in movies past (mostly SyFy originals) …
Just because you Can CGI, it in no way follows that you Should.
I’ve been enjoying the joy-joy feeling of nostalgia of an old favorite made new, especially the history between Alura and Lothor.
Loved season one. Expect to binge watch season two just as enthusiastically…
I must confess some excitement at the prospect they might have captured even a smidgeon of the delight that was the book…
About freakin time . . .
I know its great isn’t it, a Dr Who from Yorkshire… Brilliant…
Yorkshire? That changes everything!
Not sure that I agree that this necessarily Needed to happen, but I’m not passing any judgements until I see her in action. I was not a big fan of the choice of Matt Smith but I quickly warmed up to him, and I’m going to say he became one of my top 3 about 1/3 of the way through his first season.
Spoiler( …maybe, I guess? Better safe, and all…[Read more]
A great quote from author Mary Robinette Kowal: “It’s not about adding diversity for the sake of diversity, it’s about subtracting homogeneity for the sake of realism.”
But yes, the proof of the pudding is in the tasting . . . though I’m not sure what sweet or savory dessert foods have to do with it. Remember showrunner Moffat is also stepping…[Read more]
Just so you are aware, undaunted by the great time and distance involved, the great-great-great (and possibly a few more, I darn’t delver too deaply in to the sex life of snails) Snails Of Doom ™ are still on your case Forlath. Much swelled in numbers due to many many (see above) generations the Hoards of the Snails of Doom are coming…[Read more]
Hey, how’s it going? What’s that? Haha, fooled you – you have reached Forlath Grey’s answering machine. I’m currently out of the country on safari on Prince Edward Island, home to some of the world’s most aggressive mosquitoes. Please leave a message and I will get back to you at my earliest convenance. If this matter is urgent, involves a large…[Read more]
Can’t stop watching electric snail fence vid. Please send help . . . and sandwiches . . .
Yes, caught my eye as well. Looks promising, hope it lives up to it.
Indeed, Lets hope that trailer wasn’t a collection of all the good bits.
Seth Macfarlane is an extremely amusing writer, but his humor has the tendency to go the low comedy route more often than I have the stomach for. 1000 ways to die in the west is a good example, amusing concept and some great dialogue but the visual gags were a bit much. I’m hoping this show doesn’t go that route…
Agreed, 1000 ways to die in the west is a 45 min sketch stretched out into a full length movie. As long as they have a good stream of idea’s fine. Its when they run out the problems start.
Hopefully they will maintain the level of the Family Guy Star Wars skits.
Has anyone checked on him? Maybe #covfefe were his last words?
And remember, kids – tomorrow is towel day, get your favorite towel ready . . .
Isn’t Extreme from Nottingham??
Apologies for the spoilers in the newly posted Expanse spoof webcomic, if you haven\’t seen the show yet, it\’s very light spoilers, like first couple of episodes light. Nothing too bad. Here\’s your chance to rectify the situation and go binge watch the Expanse before I post any more!
I\’m back as you might gather by the stain on your jeans —– Nottin\’ seems to have evolved much —- Ah look at who\’s talken
Trying to keep the site apolitical but this is hilarious regardless what your political leanings are…
The Expanse is excellent, if you’re not watching it, you should check it out . . .
It\’s that time of year, the unbridled expectation of the arrival of an old large fat bloke with a fake beard, in a red ill fitting suit, squeezing his way down the chimney past the central heating pipes, to make an entrance by pulling the radiator of the wall and scaring the kids.
What’s the matter, Extreme? Were you attacked by a shopping mall Santa, when you were wee?
No I just see all the logical failings of the Santa story. Just imagine that traveling at the speed of light with 8 reindeers eating up multiple suns worth of energy in the vain attempt at delivering presents to everyone “good” in a single night. I never did get my extermination ray I asked for. Useless.
The only good thing about the story is…[Read more]
Silly professor, Santa Magic™ Isn’t powered by “suns”…
It’s powered by the disappointed tears of small children, self sustaining power source.
Half my kingdom for a like button . . .
Taking a break from Dragon Age, to go to Hong Kong. There are worse things. Took this last night . . .
So yeah, this is what I\’ve been up to, a short clip of my character and assorted companions getting beat by a dragon . . .

So that’s where they’ve all been coming from; someone forgot to close the zipper . . .
Sorry, I didn’t realise how far that link scrolled down. Another hour or so I won’t get back.
And following on with this years S**T
